FidaWare 10 is a modern, easily scalable Warehouse Management System easily adapted to growing numbers of warehouse events.
Warehouse Management System (WMS) is an important part of a company’s business process, situated between ERP and the shop floor. It integrates into any of our customer’s Manufacturing Execution or Enterprise Resource Planning systems thanks to its built-in APIs.
FidWare 10 is a comprehensive Warehouse Management System based on software development started in 2000. The latest version is based on a new systems architecture. It utilizes all the knowledge about warehouse management functions and the business logic of different customers accumulated over the years. The software is easily adapted to our customer’s processes avoiding the need for any disruptive changes.
FidaWare 10’s program libraries and components are more standardized than before. Standard features and libraries allow the use of tried and tested components across different customer implementations. This speeds up the time needed to set up and reduces the need for customization. The reduced need for customer specific changes enables faster and more reliable project implementations, from order to commissioning.
The traceability demands of today and those in the future across all industries set new requirements for Warehouse Management Systems. In addition, the number of events in the warehouse is growing steadily due to for example online sales. FidaWare 10 is designed to scale and adapt to the needs of our customers. It is a safe investment for the future in an environment where product lifecycles generally span over a decade.
Browser-based interface gives freedom
FidaWare10 has a new browser-based user interface in addition to the classic client interface adding to the system’s range of applications. Being browser-based, the system is device and operating system independent, and it can be used with a mix of devices (PC, tablet or smartphone) within a single system. A browser-based system does not need software upgrades like the clients do. The chance of error is diminished when the system is operated through a browser rather than a client. FidaWare 10’s user interface is built on the Vaadin framework which also reduces the challenges associated with patchy network coverage often associated with warehouses.
The new software version does not replace any FidaWare systems already in use. The development of these systems will continue normally with our existing customers.
