How did you come to join this company?
As a software developer, I immersed myself in the fundamentals of supply chain planning and optimization. After applying my newfound knowledge to a series of intriguing challenges, I became eager to seek out new opportunities where I could leverage my expertise and make a substantial impact in the field of supply chain planning.
Quintiq, a renowned yet niche community worldwide, presented an amazing opportunity when I had the privilege of meeting Anjum Hirani, the Managing Director of Roima India, in my city. Our enlightening conversation revealed that Roima Intelligence, one of Quintiq's most esteemed partners, was initiating a new venture in Ahmedabad, India. Attracted by their pioneering technology and strong emphasis on professional development, joining Roima India swiftly became my primary objective.
The interview process was seamless and engaging. I am now a proud Roimian, fulfilling my mission to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of supply chain planning.
What has been your proudest achievement in your role?
One of my proudest achievements in my role has been leading the biggest Quintiq implementation project and delivering it within the agreed timeline for the Finland’s market leader in Logistics.
This achievement underscored my technical expertise and leadership skills while highlighting the critical importance of innovation and continuous improvement in our work. It was profoundly rewarding to see the tangible impact of our efforts and to know that we made a substantial contribution to the company's success.

What do you do/what kind of work tasks do you do as a Software Developer at Roima?
Daily tasks consist of a variety of development related tasks such as designing new functionalities, developing those and reviewing work done by colleagues. I also support customers already in production. In short: daily learning and problem solving.
What do you enjoy most about working here?
Complexity of projects and tasks. Ability to see your work applied in real life (e.g., on-site visit to the customer site). Great team dynamics and great colleagues.
What has been your proudest achievement in your role?
There isn’t one specific, but seeing my own code in action.

Sanna Porola, Director, Process Business Finland
Can you tell us about your professional background and how you ended up in your current role?
Before joining Roima, I worked for around 15 years in discrete manufacturing companies, handling export, cross trade and finance side as sales, manufacturing and project controller. I decided to start a second careerr and jumped into the consultancy world. I worked first mainly with Lean System and moved from there step by step to MES and SCADA world and eventually to my current unit Process Business Area. Strong management and administration background guided me to my current role.
Can you describe your day-to-day responsibilities?
Today, part of my day-to-day routine is to make sure our deliveries are moving forward as planned, teams have sufficient workload and planning the future and next steps for our Business Area.
How would you describe the relationships among your colleagues and teams?
Team spirit is excellent, and they are like my second family.
What’s one thing you think makes this company stand out from others in the industry?
Flexibility in both technical and non-technical solutions.
What advice would you give to someone considering joining the company?
I will quote here from Alice in Wonderland: “There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery & danger! Some say to survive it, you need to be as Mad as a Hatter. Which luckily, I am.” Our weeks and days are different, many things happening at the same time and new things to learn every day and the best colleagues. If you are ready for those, then you are ready for Roima!

How did you end up joining Roima?
I’ve been in the Microsoft Dynamics ERP world for a long time and often struggled to deliver real value through customizations. I saw how effective best-of-breed solutions could be and wanted to join one of the top partners. Roima Denmark stood out as a leading WMS partner, so I applied and have been happy here ever since.
What do you do as a Sales Manager at Roima?
I sell our LOGIA WMS software to potential clients. This means creating sales strategies, understanding the market, and targeting the right customers. I also keep up with industry trends, work with marketing on promotional materials, and make sure I know our product well to help customers. I report on sales activities, negotiate contracts, and build a network for partnerships and referrals.
What do you enjoy most about working here?
I like the mix of responsibility and freedom in my role. It helps me grow and contribute to the company. Working with my colleagues is great, and celebrating our successes as a team is really rewarding. Plus, seeing our solutions help customers improve their operations is very satisfying.
What has been your proudest achievement in your role?
The first win we had as a team is my proudest moment. It was a big collective achievement and remains special to me.
What makes this company stand out in the industry?
Our customer network benefits a lot from sharing experiences. LOGIA WMS is flexible and customizable, which really sets us apart from others.
How would you describe the relationships among your colleagues and teams?
We work well together as a team and support each other. Celebrating our successes together makes us aim even higher.
How do you maintain a balance between your professional and personal life?
Roima values work-life balance. I do work long hours, but I make sure to share my achievements with my family and take weekends to relax and recharge.
What advice would you give to someone considering joining the company?
