Roima, Schneider Electric, and Roslagsvatten highlight digital innovation at AVEVA World 2024

In collaboration with Roslagsvatten and Schneider Electric, Roma presented a case study at AVEVA World 2024 in Paris. The “Roslagsvatten: Revolutionizing Water and Wastewater with Next-Gen Digitalization” session highlighted how innovative digital solutions drive transformation in water and wastewater management.

Roslagsvatten is a Swedish municipal company providing water, wastewater, and waste management services. It manages 25 treatment plants across five municipalities, has 226 pumping stations, and serves 200,000 customers. Roslagsvatten is on a digitalization journey, aiming to create a unified system for its technology. This will make its operations more efficient and sustainable.

As an AVEVA Endorsed System Integrator, Roima partnered with Schneider Electric and Roslagsvatten to bring Roslagsvatten’s vision to life. Using advanced technologies like AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA PI System, AVEVA Asset Information Management, and Schneider EcoStruxure Automation Expert, the partnership built a unified system that makes it possible to:

• Gain real-time insights into asset performance and operational data.
• Optimize resource usage for greater sustainability.
• Lay the foundation for long-term innovation in water and wastewater management in Sweden.

During the session, Robin Trankell (Roslagsvatten), Proushi Rawat (Roima Intelligence), and Daniel Ljungqvist (Schneider Electric) shared their experiences and the collaborative strategies that made the project a success. They highlighted the critical role of integrating advanced technologies, like the AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA PI System, and Schneider EcoStruxure Automation Expert, with Roima’s expertise in driving digital transformation.

The discussion emphasized that transformation isn’t just about technology – it’s also about people. Change management was central to the project, ensuring that employees and stakeholders understood the vision, the reasons for change, and their roles. Roima played a key role in simplifying workflows, creating standardized and interconnected platforms, and guiding Roslagsvatten’s team through the transformation journey.
