A scalable solution
Fusion was looking for a standardized WMS solution that could streamline processes at the new warehouse and support the company’s continued growth. LOGIA is a scalable solution with standard functionality, making it easy to expand and upgrade as the company’s logistical needs change.
Efficient picking flow
Fusion wanted to streamline the picking flow and minimize wasted time in the warehouse. With LOGIA’s batch picking, warehouse staff can pick several orders at once, so locations are visited fewer times. LOGIA also works with the Webshipper freight system to tie all processes together and minimize waste.
Many single piece orders from webshop
Fusion’s webshop receives many single-piece orders that were previously handled individually in the warehouse. With the Single Line functionality, all single unit orders are picked in one picking round. The items are then taken to the packing area where they are scanned and packed directly into shipping packaging.
Result
The Single Line function in particular offers great benefits in the warehouse, where picking time is reduced by 50%.
The new setup ensures that warehouse employees do not drive with half-full picking trolleys and that internal transport between the warehouse and packing area is minimized. In a Single Line picking round, there is always one item to be packed for one order, which also makes it easy for temporary workers and minimizes the risk of errors.
