Regionshospitalet Gødstrup
LOGIA controls Denmark’s first bed vending machines at the new super hospital in Gødstrup.
Storage and logistics situation
Central and Western Jutland is building a new regional hospital in Gødstrup. The hospital is using new warehouse technology, and LOGIA has been chosen as the management platform.
Denmark’s first automatic bed machines
LOGIA controls four Hospimats (bed vending machines) for storing and transporting the hospital’s patient beds. The Hospimats store the patient beds compactly in four high vending machines, ensuring fast and simple bed logistics.
More room and patient care
The new storage technology means that the hospital can make quick bed changes between admissions and avoid beds taking up space in the corridors. This saves both space on the wards and valuable time that can be spent on the hospital’s patients.
Management of Hospimats
The hospimats are located in four towers of the hospital building, so they are accessible from several floors. On each floor, there is a screen for staff to access LOGIA and an opening to the Hospimat, where staff receive clean beds and return unclean beds. Delivery and collection of beds are ordered directly in LOGIA, which has full control and traceability of the beds. Clean beds are always available and used beds are automatically sent for bed washing.
