HiFi Klubben

Europe's largest specialty chain for high-quality radio, TV, and speakers achieves great results with LOGIA WMS. The HiFi Club's central warehouse has, among other things, optimized all warehouse processes and tripled packing capacity.

A specialized WMS-solution

HiFi Klubben’s central warehouse supplies 95 physical HiFi stores in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and the Netherlands and online stores in each of the 5 countries. The warehouse also provides Argon Audio products to retailers in 7 countries and Argon Audio’s online store which serves nearly 30 countries.

Previously, the central warehouse used its self-developed WMS solution in Nav, which has now been replaced by the specialized WMS solution LOGIA. The decision to switch to a specialized WMS solution was driven by a need to optimize warehouse processes and increase flexibility in response to anticipated changes in sales channels.

Optimization of all warehouse processes

The entire warehouse is managed by LOGIA, and all processes from item receipt to shipping have been optimized including order picks, internal transport, and space utilization. LOGIA ensures high quality in these processes, and all unnecessary handling, time spent, and registrations are removed. Stores and online customers have access to current and real-time information about inventory and order status.

HiFi Klubben also benefits from LOGIA's simple inventory counting functions. Unlike the previous practice of shutting down the warehouse for two days during annual counts, LOGIA enables continuous counting, maintaining accurate inventory in real time and eliminating the need for prolonged closures.

LOGIA’s standard functionality met most of HiFi Klubben’s warehouse management needs. Some functionality developed in connection with the project has become part of LOGIA’s standard functionality. The advantage of a standard solution is that it can be easily upgraded and expanded as needed.

HiFi Klubben triples packaging capacity

HiFi Klubben’s webshop receives many individual orders, and Single Line has therefore resulted in significant savings in the warehouse. All single-piece orders are collected in one picking round, and the warehouse can therefore send out more packages per day, which is of great importance on busy days, such as Black Friday. "We have achieved a significant saving by being able to collect many orders at once, rather than having to drive out and pick up orders several times. We have moved from being able to pack 1,500 packages a day to 4,500," says Heine Frandsen, Warehouse Manager at HiFi Klubben.

Efficient handling of orders and shipments

HiFi Klubben’s solution also includes LOGIA’s newly developed distribution route management. This means order starts are prioritized based on cut-off times and when they should be loaded and shipped to each route. LOGIA automatically calculates freight forecasts for carriers so they know the volume of goods to be shipped. Individual shipments are controlled via integrated transport administration and Consignor.

“LOGIA’s route management helps us every day with, among other things, booking space with carriers. It's all done automatically. Every morning, the system sends an email to all carriers about the needs of the day. This means that when the carrier arrives in the afternoon, there is space for all picked goods." says Tommy Bøg, Facility & Project Manager at HiFi Klubben.
