FidaWare's powerful warehouse optimization tools make it easy to set up strategies and priorities for how goods should be handled through the warehouse. With warehouse strategies for putaway, picking and replenishment, all warehouse processes are optimized most efficiently.
Warehouse optimization starts with correct putaway
In the putaway process, FidaWare WMS selects the most optimal warehouse locations based on the assigned strategies. This can include dimensions, picking frequency, availability and more. For example, items with a high picking frequency should be placed in easily accessible locations to streamline both the putaway and picking process. If a product's picking location is not available, the next priority may be the nearest available location.
Warehouse strategies for optimal picking
For picking, order size rules can be set up to ensure that whole pallets are picked from a pallet storage area and orders of a few items are picked from a vertical storage lift or other warehouse location. It is also possible to set up FIFO, FEFO and other rules for selected items in the warehouse management system.
On-time replenishment ensures optimal flow
The strategies for replenishment ensure that FidaWare WMS initiates replenishment of storage locations on time. It can include rules to ensure that when an inventory reaches a specified minimum, FidaWare WMS automatically activates replenishment. This ensures a stable inventory and an optimal flow in the warehouse.
Standard rules and adding new rules
The warehouse management system includes a set of standard warehouse optimization rules that can be easily set up, prioritized, and continuously adjusted to your warehouse situation. It is also possible to add new rules for specific products, product groups and companies without the need for additional programming.
