F&H optimizes warehouse picking processes by combining the well-known Pick-by-Voice technology with a tablet on which LOGIA’s visual interface can be accessed.

F&H Group A/S is Scandinavia’s leading brand house within Kitchen Living and Dining. The company uses LOGIA’s hybrid warehouse solution, where Pick-by-Voice is combined with a visual tablet.

“We ave chosen to combine Pick-by-Voice with a visual user interface to improve the quality of our picking in the warehouse. The combination of visual and audio activates more senses and makes it easier for everyone.” says Ruddi Vestergaard Nielsen, Logistics Director at F&H.

LOGIA guides the warehouse operator through the headset and tells how the picking round should be handled (e.g. location for picking, number, and position on picking card). The warehouse operator responds back to LOGIA through the headset to ensure that the pick is handled correctly. The tablet displays images, visualizations, and symbols that support the individual picks, as well as an overview of the entire picking round.

“Our pickers are particularly pleased with the interaction between the visual on the screen and the Pick-by-Voice part, where they can get an overview of the picking round on the screen, but they perform the picking in Pick-by-Voice.” says Jakob Ørris Kjær, warehouse assistant at F&H.

F&H previously used Pick-by-Voice on its own, but decided to switch to the hybrid solution to take advantage of the best of both features. The voice dialogs give employees a free hand, while the tablet provides an overview and makes it easier to understand.

F&H experiences good benefits from combining the two functions, which ensures a high quality in the warehouse’s picking. The solution has also meant that the company’s many temporary workers are self-driving more quickly.
